Indy Lamp

Reimagining lighting in the home and creating an interaction between ambient and task lighting.

Lighting has a direct affect on our moods and our perception of the space we are in. The experiences we have in a room and our interaction in an environment is reliant on the kind of lighting in a space. The ability to change our lighting in the home can put us in a productive headspace or a relaxing headspace.

My concept is a home lamp that can be oriented to be an ambient or a task lamp. I wanted to allow the user to be able to be a designer themselves by being able to change the lamp to their needs.

Allowing the user to have a physical interaction with the lamp amplifies the human experience with the product. I wanted to create something that someone could have an active and purposeful interaction with.
